About RISSB

The Rail Industry Safety and Standards Board (RISSB) is wholly owned by the ARA and is responsible for development and management of the rail industry standards, rules and codes of practice, all of which have national application. 

The RISSB is accredited by Standards Australia as a Standards Development Organisation, and all new standards commenced by the RISSB in 2007/2008 will be published as Australian Standards.
