RISSB’s membership structure is split into classes which are related to each Member’s annual rail turnover as follows:

| $20 – $50M | B |
| $5 – $20M | C |
| $1 – $5M | D |

The fees for each class of membership are determined by the Board annually and are payable on a financial year basis.
For Members who join between 1 October and 31 March a pro rata fee will apply. For Members who join after 1 April there will be no fee for the current year but the fee for the following financial year will apply. Membership fees are not refundable.
Please note in determining the Class of membership only turnover (or revenue) from Australian or New Zealand rail related activities is taken into consideration. Please contact RISSB’s Company Secretary, Kirk Alber, via email kalber@rissb.com.au for information about the fees currently payable for your organisation based on your annual rail turnover and activities.
In accordance with Clause 4.1(b) of the Constitution each Member will, whenever requested, provide such information as is reasonably required by RISSB in order to calculate the Member’s annual subscription fee.
| a. | an individual, small contractor or supplier with three or less staff and a turnover of less than $1M per annum supplying services or equipment to the Industry; |
| b. | distinguished individuals who have given long and meritorious service to the Industry and whose activities promote or have promoted the objects of the Company; |
| c. | individuals who are engaged in studies associated with the Industry; |
| d. | an employee union, higher education institution or registered training organisation, who has an interest in the Industry generally; |
| e. | a tourism and/or heritage organisation that is a registered charitable organisation and has operations turnover of less than $1 million per annum. |
