Call for Development Group Members – AS 7510.3 Braking Systems – Part 3 – Multiple Unit Passenger Rolling Stock.

The Rail Industry Safety and Standards Board is seeking nominations from people to join a Development Group for the aged review of Australian Standard AS 7510.3 Braking Systems – Part 3 – Multiple Unit Passenger Rolling Stock.

This Standard describes minimum standards for brake performance, features and compatibility for the braking systems of multiple unit passenger sets and is applicable to new, substantially modified or that are to operate in a network in which they have not previously operated. The Standard covers the design, construction and maintenance of brake systems including EP and automatic air brake systems.

How to contribute 

Stakeholders and interested parties are invited to submit nominations for subject matter experts to join this Development Group to contribute to the overall depth and quality of the product.

Development Group membership is voluntary and requires the support of your organisation to attend and contribute. The Standard will be progressed through teleconference meetings which will be held every 4-6 weeks between July 2022 and February 2023.
