RISSB are calling for nominations for Development Group members to be involved in the further development of a set of National Rules for the Australian Railway Network. The program is expected to conclude in July 2018.

This National Program will enhance and widen the scope of the current Australian Network Rules and Procedures (ANRP) into a set of National Rules and supporting documents covering rail operations. The program objective is to provide simplified and base rules that are common to rail in Australia, therefore achieving greater harmonisation within the industry.

The Rules will support a set of Fundamental Operating Principles through a National Framework.

It is expected that the commitment to this work will be a minimum of 12 days with a mixture of attending meetings and reviewing of documents to provide feedback.
