Call For Development Group Members – Code of Practice: Shunting Operations In Terminals And Yards

The Rail Industry Safety and Standards Board is seeking nominations from people to join a Development Group to develop a new publication – Code of Practice: Shunting Operations in Terminals and Yards.

This Code will provide principles and practices for the safe movement of rolling stock within freight terminals, maintenance yards and sidings, and aim to provide a consistent approach for the safe management of shunting movements.

How to contribute
Stakeholders and interested parties are invited to submit nominations for subject matter experts to join this Development Group to contribute to the overall depth and quality of the publication.

Development Group membership is voluntary and requires the support of your organisation to attend and contribute. There will be a minimum of 4 meetings held between July 2022 and March 2023. These will be planned as either teleconferences or face to face meetings.
