Call for Development Group Members – Firmware, Software and Configuration Management for Operational Rail Assets Publication
The Rail Industry Safety and Standards Board (RISSB) is seeking nominations from people to join a Development Group to develop a new publication – Firmware, Software and Configuration Management for Operational Rail Assets.
This document will provide guidance on how to manage the controlled roll-out of firmware and software updates to applicable operational rail equipment. Additionally, this publication will provide guidance on how to manage configuration changes of such devices, catering for frequent changes to base firmware, software and configuration of equipment being introduced into, or modified for, operational service where the physical hardware and environment are not subject to change during software changes and updates.
