Call for Development Group Members – Good Practice for Planning Works in the Rail Corridor Guideline
As part of a major project recently launched by RISSB, we are now seeking nominations for Development Group members for a new Guideline – Good Practice for Planning Works in the Rail Corridor. We are seeking Development Group members who have experience and first-hand knowledge of implementing planned works in the rail corridor, rather than those with strategic or long-term planning skills.
The scope of this project will be about:
- Exploring if there are any common themes in occurrences (and near misses), e.g. anecdotally there are examples such as:
- Plans changing at the 11th hour
- Sites / surroundings (externalities) not appearing as per the plan
- Providing advice on how to avoid those pitfalls
- Advising on how to enter into a cycle of continuous improvement in planning works.
How to contribute
Stakeholders and interested parties are invited to submit nominations for subject matter experts to join this Development Group to contribute to the overall depth and quality of this publication.
Development Group membership is voluntary and requires the support of your organisation to attend and contribute.
Given the current situation with COVID – 19, we will be utilising video conferencing as our preferred meeting solution and anticipate that the group will meet 2-3 times before the project’s expected delivery date in February 2021.
Further information on the responsibilities of a Development Group member can be obtained from the RISSB website.
All nominations and enquiries are to be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org
As part of your nomination, can you please provide a brief detailing your contact details, your interest in this development (materially affected party, subject matter expert, etc.), and any other information which might support your participation. This information will assist us in ensuring a balanced representation from all major interest categories in the development of this document.
The closing date for nominations is Friday, 7 August 2020.
