Call for Public Consultation – AS 7630 Corridor Infrastructure: Track Classification
The review of AS 7630 Corridor Infrastructure: Track Classification is now available for a eight week Public Consultation.
RISSB is excited to continue its support of the National Rail Action Plan (NRAP) with the review and improvement of operational interoperability.
AS 7630 Corridor Infrastructure: Track Classification is the review and development of a detailed track classification methodology which includes both track engineering parameters and rolling stock criteria. It will allow infrastructure managers to build and upgrade effective rail networks and operators to more efficiently assess route availability for their fleets.
The standardisation of track classification methodology aims to support greater productivity and harmonisation across Australia’s rail industry.
As the rail industry’s accredited standards development organisation, we continue to collaborate with government, rail operators and industry leaders to improve the efficiency and harmonisation of Australia’s rail network, ensuring national interoperability into the future.
More information on the National Rail Action Plan can be found here.
