This document describes requirements for the structural strength of bogie structures and attached equipment.
The main purpose of the requirements is to maintain the structural integrity of bogie structures and attached equipment under normal operation; and to minimize risks to passengers, personnel, train crew and members of the general public in the event of collisions or derailments.
