Supply Side: Alstom, Navis

Alstom Americas President Jérôme Wallut

Alstom will supply its Cityflo 650 Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) system for the Metromover in Miami, Fla. It will also replace or refurbish the automated people mover’s power distribution system, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System, guideway switches, and other components.

The Miami-Dade Metromover launched in 1986, and was the first urban application of Westinghouse Automated People Mover technology, which is now part of Alstom’s product portfolio.

“We are pleased to be supporting Miami-Dade County in modernizing the iconic Metromover system, which has been serving area residents and visitors for 35 years, and to be helping the County meet its future mobility requirements,” Alstom Americas President Jérôme Wallut said.
