AS 7507 is central to modernising and harmonising Australia’s rail sector in line with national rail reform goals. This review of the Standard delivers continuous improvement in the safety and productivity of rolling stock.
The update clearly defines the technical requirements for determining whether rolling stock conforms to established reference outlines. Other improvements include:

- Updated references to related standards for consistency.
- Improved guidance through new diagrams and clearer instructions.

AS 7507 Rolling Stock Outlines will be available for public consultation for 60 days. All interested parties are encouraged to provide comments during this time.
