AS 7513 Rolling Stock Interior Environment

The AS 7513 Rolling Stock Interior Environment draft is now open for Public Consultation.

How this product helps the rail industry 

This Standard provides the requirements for the interior environment of rolling stock with the primary focus being the safety and comfort of passengers and crew.

It defines good environmental practice from existing legislation and other sources to incorporate requirements and recommendations for Australian rail networks.  

About

This product underwent significant realignment, consolidating AS 7513.1, 7513.3 and 7513.4 into a single standard. Requirements relating to HVAC and EMC were removed as they are now covered in AS 7722 EMC and AS 7482 HVAC. This Standard now focuses on noise, vibration and ride comfort.

How to contribute

AS 7513 Rolling Stock Interior Environment will be available for public consultation for 60 days. All interested parties are encouraged to provide comments during this time.
