Mind the Gap – Safety, Skills and Interoperability

RISSB and Informa Connect are delighted to announce the 23rd Annual RISSB Rail Safety Conference that will be held in Sydney at the Amora Hotel Jamison on May 2nd and 3rd 2023.

The Rail industry is vital to Australian business and as the industry meets new challenges (from sustainability and climate change, to remote working, to digital asset management, to innovation) it is essential to provide our people with effective technical skills to successfully and safely cope with the changes and the opportunities of a rail network that is transforming to become more efficient, interoperable, digital and optimized.

With this vision, the theme that will guide us through this year’s program is Mind the Gap – Safety, Skills and Interoperability and we invite you to join RISSB Rail Safety 2023 and participate in ongoing discussions.

Following on the successful event in Melbourne in 2022, the 2023 conference in Sydney will be an engaging 2-day program featuring keynotes, industry panels,  an exclusive conference dinner, site visits and much, much more.

Some of the topics to be discussed:

  • Safety culture
  • Investing in skills development
  • Sustainability
  • Climate change
  • Investing in train control systems to enhance safety
  • Interoperability to drive efficiency
  • Safety and sustainability as risk management
  • The role of people: our workforce, customers, and communities
  • Technology and innovation

Over the past few weeks, stakeholders have been contacted regarding purchasing a 2023 conference attendee list. This activity is not associated with RISSB, nor is it associated with our conference partner Informa and it certainly isn’t something we support or condone. We don’t onsell information to third parties and advise anyone who is sent such an offer, to delete the email immediately.
