The closing date for comments – Friday 5 September 2025
The AS 7644 Rail Corridor Access draft is now open for Public Consultation.
How this product helps the rail industry
AS 7644 Rail Corridor Access encourages rail organisations to adopt a whole-of-life approach to the management of rail corridor access. This approach includes requirements in relation to design, supply, construction, and maintenance of access controls for a range of operational railways in Australia.
Adoption and implementation of the requirements of this Standard will help achieve a greater level of safety in the rail corridor for both rail safety workers and members of the public.
About
This product underwent a review which focussed on access to the rail corridor through a variety of means including viaducts and major motorways and consideration of technologies to prevent trespass events.
