Our training products are already well regarded and well subscribed (including overseas interest), and our new strategy has a much greater emphasis on driving the wider adoption of RISSB’s products. In summary, to continue to drive the adoption of RISSB’s products we need to be ensuring that we are:
The final point above is where training comes into the equation. While much of our current training is about upskilling at an individual level, the ability to assist the uptake of RISSB’s products will require 'training' at an organisational level. This might involve some form of gap analysis to assist in due diligence when a new or updated RISSB product is introduced. It might be some simple online training to highlight changes, and to identify improvement opportunities. Or it might involve RISSB developing proforma Work Instructions of Procedures to support the implementation. RISSB has always had a very keen interest in the uptake of its products – they are of course developed by industry, for industry – and, our new strategy is focused on RISSB playing a much more active role in understanding barriers to adoption and in assisting industry reap the safety, productivity and sustainability benefits of the work we do. If you have any ideas of how we can further improve the adoption of our products, either through alternative approaches to training or any other ideas please let us know your thoughts at info@rissb.com.au.
