This year continues to be one of significant growth. Last year we made an important and successful change to our operations with an organisational restructure and the addition of new staff. We started to refocus our efforts and roll out a long-term strategy that requires us to not only maintain our focus on products and solutions that boost customer productivity, but also set the standard for industry.
This month we
intend to maintain the momentum with the opening of a new Melbourne office dedicated to meeting the needs of our members, and moving forward with some 25 product proposals - the most proposals ever received - put forward during the PPF Idea Submission Period.
We continue to believe that our products, services and the value they add to our member's business remain the key to our continued success. With this in mind, I am inviting you to participate in our annual Priority Planning Forum and tell us how important each proposed product is to you and your business. RISSB takes its lead from industry and develops standards, guidelines and codes of practice, that are identified as necessary. It's your RISSB, so you should have a say about its future work plan.
On behalf of myself and all the staff at RISSB, I would like to wish you all a Happy Easter. We look forward to seeing you at our conferences, courses and events during the year.

HF Integration into Engineering Design
A guideline to support the Human Factors integration into Engineering Design will go to the RISSB Board this month for approval to publish. This guideline provides an introduction to HF integration in Engineering Design, the integration process and common HF design considerations. Thank you to the expert Development Group for their valuable input.
RISSB On the Move
This month we're opening a new Melbourne office. Situated at Level 4 , 580 Collins Street, the office is only metres away from most of our Class 1 Melbourne members and Southern Cross Station, with a free tram straight out the front!
Centrally located, the new premises will enable RISSB to host more DGs and industry meetings in Victoria.
Congratulations to Class No.1 of 2018
Congratulations to all who completed the National Rail Safety Investigation course held in Chullora earlier this month. This is the first of many training courses that RISSB will be holding this year. Keep checking our 'Events/Training' page for course information and dates.
RISSB Gifted Miniature Trains
If you're visiting RISSB's Brisbane office, venture into the boardroom for some inspiration. Board member, David George, recently gifted a number of miniature trains, taken entirely from his personal collection, to the organisation. Thank you, David.
