International Union Of Railways (UIC) And RISSB Discuss Partnering Opportunities

RISSB and the UIC continue to work together and seek ways to partner in the service of the Australian rail industry and share learnings.

Last week we met with the UIC to discuss many of the challenges we have in relation to interoperability and harmonisation in Australia and found out that the issues we face here are also present in Europe with the added challenge of international borders and language barriers!

Over the coming months we will be looking at ways to establish more formal and enduring ways to share information and work together to enhance our products and services. 

ATSB And RISSB Promote Learnings

In the spirit of co-operation and learning we've teamed up with the ATSB and from this week, we will be sharing their investigation reports in The Whistle Board.

The ATSB’s recent investigation into a safeworking breach near Crystal Brook, SA has resulted in a rail maintenance contractor amending its processes. Read more: News: RRV safeworking breach (atsb.gov.au)
