RISSB Supporting TrackSAFE's National Level Crossing Safety Forum
At the start of this week, RISSB joined rail experts, government, roads authorities, industry groups (and other stakeholders) in sharing real world experiences and engaging in robust conversations on how best to improve level crossing safety at the TrackSAFE Foundation’s National Level Crossing Safety Forum. At the event we heard about trials of new systems, best practice in gathering / using
data, plans to improve national coordination along with some really poignant reminders of why this is such an important issue.
This work will feed into the National Level Crossing Safety Committee and support the current rewrite of the national level crossing strategy; we are pleased to have been able to contribute, and we extend our thanks to TrackSAFE for organising.
