AS 7726 Interface Between Train Control Systems And Rolling Stock Update

The Development Group met last week to discuss the current draft and work through a number of comments made. Guidance has also been sought from the Train Control Systems Standing Committee on the topic of traction bonding and its place in this Standard. Significant progress has been made on this Standard, with a new draft being currently developed based on the meeting outcomes.

AS 7739 Digital Engineering For Fixed Rail Infrastructure Part 1: Principles And Concepts Update

The Independent Review Report was closed out last week, with the final draft now under development. RISSB would like to thank Ario Susanto from Jacobs for his hard work in reviewing the Standard and providing feedback.

The final draft should be made available to the Development Group before the end of August for final endorsement prior to being submitted to the Infrastructure Standing Committee for their endorsement.

Standards Australia Marks 100 Year Milestone

In two months time, Standards Australia will celebrate its 100th birthday, marking the occasion with centennial commemorations featuring webinars, special announcements, a TedXSalon and more.

RISSB congratulates Standards Australia on achieving such a significant milestone. As a recognised Standards Development Organisation, RISSB is proud to have contributed to Standards Australia's rich history through its facilitation of technical Standards for the Australian rail industry.
