Results of RISSB's AGM
RISSB's eighth annual general meeting (AGM) was held virtually on Monday, 21 November 2022.
Before proceeding to the business of the meeting, members received an update from the Chair on RISSB’s accomplishments over the year noting the important contributions made by members and stakeholders.
Members confirmed the minutes of last year’s AGM, accepted the Financial Reports for FY 2021-22, appointed Moore Australia Audit as RISSB's Auditor and endorsed the Strategic Plan 2017-22.
* Endorsed Deb Spring as Independent Chair and David George as an Independent Director both for terms ending in November 2024.
* Elected the following Industry Directors for second terms ending in November 2025:
* Kylie Gallasch representing Network Managers/Owners
* Mark Carling representing Suppliers and Contractors.

This is a reminder that if you would like your idea to be considered for the 2023 / 2024 work plan, we must receive your
completed product proposal forms by Friday, 16 December 2022.
More information about our Priority Planning Process can be found on this webpage where you will find alink to a form to use. Completed forms must be sent to email@example.com.
Each submission will need to consider:
* Expected impact in facilitating and improving the interoperability and harmonisation across Australia’s railways
* Expected impact on national safety levels
* Quantified safety, financial, and environmental benefits
* Expected level of adoption (sector or industry-wide).

Code Of Practice: Shunting Operations In Terminals, Yards And Maintenance Facilities Update
Shunting in terminals, yards and maintenance facilities is a high risk activity. This Code of Practice attempts to provide a common set of rules and guidelines for the safe movement of rolling stock.
The Development Group met last week to close out the feedback from the
initial review. Further changes were discussed, and a revised draft has been issued to the group for consideration.
AS 1085.19 Resilient Fastening Assemblies Update
The Development Group met this week to review the public comments and feedback received through the independent review, with some changes made to improve the Guideline further. With the completion of the Development Group sign-off, the Guideline will be publicly available in February 2022.

Horizons Program 5.0 Update
Nominations for RISSB's Horizons Program 5.0 have closed and we've been overwhelmed by the response to our call for nominations, with applications received from infrastructure managers, rail operators and suppliers
right across the country.
The good news is that successful nominees will be contacted in the coming weeks with plenty of time for everyone to start preparing for the first forum in February.
