AS 7644 - Rail Corridor Access

This Standard is intended to provide a common framework for Rail Transport Operators (RTOs) to plan and execute the inspection, testing and commissioning of new and altered signalling infrastructure.

This Standard specifies the principles for railway signalling systems and is applicable to heavy railways.

This Standard covers the use of the electrical equipment as part of a signalling system to achieve vital and non-vital functions. The signal power supply is a critical aspect for safe operation of signalling systems.
