This Guideline is a resource which provides the Australian rail industry with a roadmap of the significant national Standards, Codes of Practice, Rules and Guidelines which are available to be utilized in the management systems of a railway organization.
It‘s primary purpose is to point to the key RISSB / rail industry documents that a rail organization should refer to in setting up its management systems. It also highlights some non-industry (e.g. government) documentation that should be considered.
This document can be used as a starting point for new rail operators or rail personnel entering the Australian rail industry.
