RISSB Progressing Hackathon in February

Level crossings are complex interfaces for the railway, one with significant safety considerations. Grade separation is the most reliable solution but it is not always possible. There is a perpetual search by rail companies to find workable ways to make level crossings safer and technology developments continue to open up possibilities.

At the end of February RISSB will host a hackathon to explore how up to the minute technology might be able to contribute, or might be able to trigger new ideas.

Invitees to the hackathon come from all sectors of the railway, other industries, technology suppliers and are generally not the usual suspects.

We’ll keep you updated as that work progresses for this safety critical aspect of our industry.

Rail Safety Conference 2022 Dinner

In keeping with the Safety Climate and  Climate Safety conference theme, we're holding our first conference dinner in two years "under the sea."

We're thrilled to announce that  our conference dinner venue is SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium where guests will be able to get up close to an enchanting underwater world full of  stingrays, sharks and thousands of multi-coloured fish.
