Rail infrastructure Part 1: Concepts And Principles Update
This important new Standard is now in the final stages of endorsement and approval for release. Full endorsement from the Development Group is expected in the coming weeks, and with this stage complete, the Infrastructure Standing Committee will be presented the Standard at their November meeting.
This is a massive step forward for the Australian rail industry, continuing to drive harmonisation, interoperability, and efficiencies in the plan, design, and build phases of railway projects.
NTC Releases Draft Revised National Standard For Health Assessment Of Rail Safety Workers
The draft revised National Standard for Health Assessment of Rail Safety Workers has been released for comment.
The public release of the Standard and the accompanying consultation report, kicks off a six-week period of consultation that will conclude on Monday 12 December 2022.
Members have two weeks left to get their nominations in for RISSB's flagship young rail professionals engagement program - Horizons. With workshops, industry speakers and networking events all on the agenda, we don't want your organisation to miss out on a coveted spot.
This week we're pleased to announce that futurist, keynote speaker, and popular host of channel nine's The Rebound show, Steve Sammartino, will be back again next year adding his views on technology, the future of transport and leadership to the Horizons Program. The respected media commentator will be running an interactive workshop on the first day of Horizons and will be returning later in the year to run another session during forum 4.
How to secure a place in the program
If you're a member and you're ready to nominate someone now, please complete the online form.
We'll be finishing the year strongly with Steve Bickley, Director, Abbott Risk Consulting (ARC) Ltd presenting a webinar on Tuesday, 22 November at 12PM (AEDT). His Chicken and Egg: Back to Front Hazard Management and Other Fallacies from the SFAIRP Universe still holds the record as the most popular MasterClass webinar we've ever held and we're certain his next webinar, will prove to be just as engaging and popular.
Information about his webinar will be released closer to the webinar date. In the meantime, if you'd like register to attend, please use this link.
