RISSB's AGM Results RISSB's sixth Annual General Meeting and its first online AGM was held earlier this week. Members accepted the Financial Reports for FY 2019-20, reappointed RISSB's auditor and endorsed the Strategic Plan 2017-22. Horizons Program 3.0 Nominations Now Closing On 11 December 2020 As we know that several organisations are progressing Horizons Program 3.0 nominations internally, we have decided to extend the nomination deadline by one week to Friday, 11 December 2020! Chief Medical Officers Focus On National Consistency The Chief Medical Officers Council are progressing a number of key issues relating to rail industry workers and AHPs including what can result in a national block and the appeals process, a simplified Fit Slip form, the auditing of Authorised Health Professionals and a training calendar for 2021. SPAD / LRTAE Projects To Kick Off Three new SPAD/LRTAE Group projects will kick off in the next few weeks. The projects relate to risk triggered commentary, SPAD/LRTAE risk and new technology and altered or new infrastructure, and a review of SPAD/LRTAEs and mobile devices. AS 7659 Point Locking And Point Detection The Development Group met last week to discuss the comments received during the Public Consultation period. A number of minor changes were made to the Standard, which is now being prepared for external validation. It is hoped that this phase will be complete by early 2020, paving the way for a late February publication date. Safety Critical Communications Code of Practice The Development Group met for the first time this week to discuss the scope and objective of this important Code of Practice. With the scope and objective confirmed the drafting will be commenced, with the first draft expected to go to the Development Group before the end of 2020.
